05) Kawangware

Date: 3rd October 2020

Location: Kawangrware

Our visit to Kawangware slum was the 5th leg. It took place in the month of October at a public primary school called Gatina. It was right after the COVID19 occasioned lockdown had been lifted and the city was abuzz with activity. Kawangware is located 15km out of Nairobi CBD and is estimated to be home to well over 100,000 people so to be able to reach 100 families of said population with the Nash and Friends care package is always gratifying to self, service to God and a major blessing to the families. We ended the mission recapping on the day’s events and breaking bread like the family we have become. Indeed service to others is the rent we pay for a room here on earth.
